Fishing Report for 10/3/04:

Walleye action on the Lorain sandbar has been fantastic for the past few weeks.  Trolling with the usual suspects has been a consistent producer.  On those days when the lake is churned up, try drifting with worm harnesses.  This slowed down technique is especially effective when it is tough to troll.  The perch bite has been great off of Avon, Lorain, and the Rocky River.  Start in 35 - 45 feet of water.

Steelhead are beginning to show up in the streams, but remember it's early.  All the streams are low right now, but do have some fish scattered in the lower sections.  We need some cold rain to bring more fish in and improve fishing conditions.  Elk Creek in PA has the best numbers of fish right now in our area.
